The New Digital SAT 2024
The SAT’s are admission tests used by many colleges and universities to assess a potential student’s academic strengths and readiness for college. The SAT Test measures a student’s capabilties in the core areas of reading, writing and mathematics. The new and improved Digital SAT test consists of two parts: Reading and Writing, and Math. The students are given 64 minutes to finish the Reading and Writing section and 70 minutes to complete the Math section. The entire test takes approximately 2 hours and 14 minutes.
The entire test takes approximately 2 hours and 14 minutes. Both sections are further divided into two equal parts, and there is a 10-minute break between the Reading and Writing section and the Math section. The first part of each section has a mix of easy, medium, and hard questions.
Whats new in the Digital SAT and how does it work ?
The SAT’s digital version is two hours and 14 minutes and has 98 questions. In comparison, the traditional paper-and-pencil version lasted for over three hours and had a much larger set of 154 questions. Unlike the paper exam, which had four sections including reading, writing, math without a calculator, and math with a calculator, the Digital SAT is structured differently. It has only two sections: a combined reading and writing component, and a separate math section.
All questions are multiple choice in the Reading and Writing section. The Math section contains a mix of both multiple choice and written answers.
